4DI have been learning about the different points of view in persuasive texts. Students have enjoyed expressing their opinions about homework in most persuasive ways!
Homework should be banned . By Tabitha Follett
I strongly believe that homework should be banned in all schools.
Firstly, what is the point of homework? We don’t need it. We are at school all day, five days a week. We learn enough at this time.
It is certain that nobody has any time at all to do horrible homework. Children have sports and other activities on in the afternoon, for example swimming, soccer, basketball and learning musical instruments. Children are way too busy for homework.
It is obvious that children hate it. They get stressed over too much pressure from the horrible extra learning. Enough is enough. It should be destroyed.
Therefore I am sure I have convinced you that all homework should be banned in all schools.
Homework should be banned . By James Campbell
I am absolutely certain that homework should be banned in all schools in Australia for the following reasons.
Children miss out on vital exercise because of homework. This is a serious health problem.
Children go to school for around six hours a day. If a teacher can’t teach them everything they need to know in that time then it is extremely disappointing.
Homework is boring and is no longer needed at school. Homework can give children a nasty and unkind attitude towards school. This definitely isn’t good. We don’t want the students to have a bad attitude towards school.
Therefore I am positive I have convinced you that all homework should be banned in all schools.
Beautiful watercolour and ink townhouses by Sophie, Kaiti, Yasanthi and Ellie.
