BDC Gourmet Burger Bar Cambodia Fundraiser
Last Thursday marked the end of the fundraising efforts for the Year 11 service-learning trip to Cambodia. Over $1400 was raised to help support impoverished Cambodians.
Many thanks to the staff, families and students who ordered burgers.
Big thanks to Tutti Fruitti and BDC parents Chris and Christine Gibbons for their generous support and provision of fresh vegetables. Thanks also to Woolworth’s and Coles for their gift vouchers and to The Happy Frog for the tasty falafels.
Big thanks to staff who assisted on the day especially the TAS staff who happily helped us navigate the senior kitchen.
Our head chef Lyndel Bosman generously donated her time and effort again this year and guided us with masterchef accuracy.
The Gourmet Burger Bar was a great opportunity for students who are going on the trip to come together as a group and work for a single purpose. We are looking forward to our departure next week.
